| We are getting this newsletter out early so that everyone knows the programme for the autumn. Deidre is going to be away for a while supporting her mother so Steve Rustage and Lin Hillsden will help Rodger to keep Dillons going as usual. Please be sure to keep your programme safely so that it cuts down on phone calls for the next few weeks. Although it has been a quieter summer with fewer youth activities for the over 18s there have been some really enjoyable events. The first fishing evening at St. James’ Lake was great fun with everyone catching at least 2 fish and some people catching ten or more!! Sue, our teacher, and Mark who works for the Brackley Angling Club, and his helpers, gave lots of patient tuition and really enjoyed having you all for the evening. |

| It was very sad that the second evening had to be cancelled owing to the very boggy conditions around the lake – but we will do it again next year! Club members were able to have a rare evening of swimming in the middle of August at Brackley. The inflatables were out and Adele led some hilarious water aerobics for us. It was very energetic and it was good to have Steve and his wife join us in the pool. Rodger is hoping to purchase a new Wii and games for the Club so do come and join in! For those of you at school and at college, we wish you a successful year ahead. If you have any friends who would like to join the Club, please let Rodger know. It would be good to have a few more members. Deidre and Rodger |
